I have now tidied up the new site, removed un-needed links, blank pages etc. The final stage is to get the cameras fitted, hang the nest box and get the live feed online.

The nest is nearing completion and the 1st egg was spotted on 16th April. I expect a 2nd was laid today but they are well hidden from view for the moment. Please start checking the "Photos" link as those will be updated daily.

It's all over !!!!
I got up this morning to find only one chick still in the box and all the others gone. It is a very damp morning so I can only hope the wee things can stay dry as it will improve their chances of survival. I will update the image gallery when I get a moment.
There are at least 2 dead chicks left in the box, but most of them did make it.
BREAKING NEWS !!!!!
Sunday 11th December 2011

Big changes coming for 2012. A purpose built Bird Room and 5 outdoor Flights have been built to house captive bred British Birds. The birds are in and the final touches are being made now. We hope to stream live images from several cameras during the nesting season which could span from March/April until August/September. I say August/September because some of my birds were aquired back in September and my Redpolls and Greenfinch were still laying eggs, although they were not given nest sites so late in the year.

The cameras will be up and running soon so stay tuned.

The old website will remain but a new website/blog is being setup as we speak and although it is still under construction it can be found here along with a list of all the birds we keep ....
